101 Copper
High conductivity grade of copper that has no oxygen, giving it excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. The lack of oxygen gives 101 immunity to hydrogen embrittlement at elevated temperatures.
Why it’s a favorite: Excellent for hot working, cold working, and forging. 101 can also be soldered, brazed, and welded easily. It’s typically used in conductors and particle accelerators. And, it always looks great of course!
Cast Iron
Significantly quieter due to reduced vibration, gears manufactured from cast iron provide lower costs. The raw material typically costs less than steel and as it is easier to machine, that saves time and is gentler on your tools.
Why it’s a favorite: Our customers love the trifecta of machinability and durability at a lower out of pocket cost, so we do too!
6061 Aluminum Sheet and Plate
With good strength-to-weight ratio, above average corrosion resistance, good machinability, and is excellent for welding. 6061 is heat-treatable, resistant to stress cracking and non-magnetic.
Why it’s a favorite: Our customers find 6061 affordable as well as highly versatile. A good all-rounder material, we stock in full size and custom cut sizes.
